next yr aint time for tryin
next yr time for trashin
next yr -
hold on
This aint the end-= thanx char
Well, anyway, after her talk with us, we MUST show Ms Ong that we can hold on as a team and not be so individualistic. Its inevitable at times, but we will try. It s the only present we can give.
But on a lighter note, we didnt think abt anything else 'xept playin well ystd right?
we've come a long way. Sorry seniors for not winning this for u. But next yr, we're gonna.
So, afteralmost 3 years together, we're gonna well, be separated- all to different jcs and stuff. maybe not those in ip but.yeah.so here's a loud shout out to u guys
Monkey: yoh!! hey good job as a captain mann... I can see that flame in u! that obviously influencedthe whole team to train v.v.v.v.v.v.v hard.Utility player!& all the CCA exhibition. & all the change ups and all the weird jokes.& how to stand up for each other.learnt alot from ya. Thanx for everything yeah.
Chu ting: HELLO! haha, i think u are ze radical of the team. But u ae a great speaker and entertainer. all the stuff u talked abt obs and ure weird (not to mention highly porn) parties at ure hse. Ure help for lit. Great catcher too and !QM. absolutely straight throws. U cheer us up with ure goofy stories and tight pants. gd luck for olevels!
Christine: my fellow ahgua!!!!! hey dude, ure the best third base ive seen. u and chu goin arnd makin ppl laugh and laughing ureselfs and rmb the PROM night dress? haha and the sunburn. well we had alot of fun together. NO sexual connotations! yeah, hope u keep playin.jia you!
Chun HUI: haha, i guess of all the seniors, i hang out with ya the least. BUT nevertheless, u bring JOY to the team! that elvis presley thing really suits u. The only chinese literate person! admire ure tenacity. though u were sick and in hospital last yr, u still thought of us and all. And u returned! never giving up! ure motto eh? yeah. Gd luck for olevels too!
4 years uve spent here. not long , not short. carry on with great spirit. coz its within.
Seaons in the sun-
Goodbye to you my trusted friend
We've known each other since we were nine or ten
Together we've climbed hills and trees
Learned of love and ABC's
Skinned our hearts and skinned our knees
Goodbye my friend it's hard to die
When all the birds are singing in the sky
Now that spring is in the air
Pretty girls are everywhere
Think of me and I'll be there
We had joy we had fun we had seasons in the sun
But the hills that we climbed were just seasons out of time

Hello NYSB.
I heard about the match.
Ah.
From what I read off Christine's log it sounded well-played.
A game with a lot of heart.
I remember way back when I was Sec One when we lost our Zone Finals.
Silver Hurts.I walked around with those words on my arm for weeks.
That match we lost. A lot of errors, I believe. Simple balls that we should have caught or hit.
Silver.
Then, it was strangely disappointing.
"I'm going to hide the trophy atthe back of my cupboard."
"No, at the bottom of my bin."
Monkey told us the story of the Wheelchair guy.
The guy who trained very hard, but just couldn't win. And his tattoo.
Silver Hurts.But that was past.
In 2 years, though I haven't been there, I've seen NYSB change.
Vast improvements, not only in skill, but in coordination and communication.
I wasn't there today. And for that I apologise.
I read entries and MSN nicknames.
Interpretation.
But when I saw you lot this morning, I felt psyched myself. There was this confidence against this team, this energy that I don't remember.
The energy emanating.
And because of that, I never had a doubt, that you all were going to play a good match, a game worth remembering.
I knew you'd come out winners.
5-4 perhaps.
A crucial mistake.
But I believe Christine is right.
Coach always said "Focus on the process, not the outcome."
There was this one time.
Coach: "Focus on the?"
Chris: "Ball?"
Coach: "NO. Process. Not the?"
Chris: "Ball?"
Coach: "Outcome. You so FoS."
Haha. I cannot believe that that was age-old. You've come a long way NYSB. I can feel the disappointment.
You came close, to lose by one run.
But after that. I guess just huddling there brought the team closer.
Just like what Ms Ong'd want to see.
You might have gone down, but not without a fight. Your plane might've been hit, but there's still parachutes. Your ship's been hit and might look like it's breaking up, but you've held it together.
They might've sped off in front of you, but you're alive and kicking.
Silver hurts, but that's only when you give it up.
It's not over. A disappointment, yes, but it's not over.
The war's not over.
That's not your final battle.
You might think you lost when it counted most, but you only lose when you lose heart.
It'll never end.
Keep going, NYSB.
There's always next time.
And you didn't lose.
That's for sure.
There's this heart in NYSB that I know I'll never feel anywhere else.
That heart that you've given me.
That's a thing that I will always remember and thank you for.
By the way, will anyone mind if I come down sometimes for training?
Yeah.
Arr.
Good game, NYSB.
Don't let this be a fight you forget, but don't let it be a fight that brings you down for long either.
It won't be long 'til you win the next battle.
When you do, don't forget those who have come before you.
Sharon, Michelle K., Huitian, Rachel, Zhu Ting, Carol, Tiffany, Si Qi, Choon Yee, Florence. Mavis, Michelle F., Shi Jun, Wanyi, Siok Ming, Yiyou.
I apologise if I've missed anyone out.
'06 B Div.
Christine, Monkey, Chu Ting, Chun Hui. Eunice, Tianyu, Naomi, Seraphina, Felicia, Noelle, Grace, Ariel, Jocelyn.
Then there's the juniors.
Shi Tong, Enlin, Yiyan, Carin, Shu Zhen, Huiqing. And the sec ones that I'm not very familiar with.
There's some ways to go.
You all'll do good.
Much love, b

i dont remember blogging here before.
the time now is..... OMG IT IS 1.43AM!!!
this is my last year in nanyang, last year in nysb last year to get that gold for nationals, last year with the big lot of you guys, last year of alot of things (unless i retain....)
SO PLEASE LET'S WIN THIS OKAYYYY
i believe that nysb is an all rounded team. when we are at our best, we can be considered unbeatable for our standard.
look, we all can bat. aint that the key to getting on base, driving in runs, scoring, WINNING? so our offense is settled.
next, defense. we got 4 pitchers (thank god) and all 4 are steady enough, fast enough. all tested and proven. we got fielders. can catch can field can throw can get the opponent outoutout.
pro right?
BUT ONE THING WE DONT HAVE IS COOLNESS!
okay maybe one of the things.
it's not easy to be 100% focus throughout the game, but we have to try, and we will achieve this.
errors come and they will go. believe me, fumbling the grounder is not the end of the game. staying cool and making THAT good throw to whereever, is the end of the game, to the opponent. get that?
communication. we, being humans, plain ordinary humans, do not have telepathy with one another. so god kindly gave us ears and mouth to make our thoughts heared. so, on the field, make sure you are always talking, making noise. it can be telling your teammates the outs and runners, where to play, cheering/praising, taunting the batter or just talking to yourself. cause if you talk, you keep yourself in the game and not dreaming somewhere else.
echo the calls. the field is so big, you need a microphone and amplifiers to let every single fielder hear something, especially outfielders. so just keep calling and shouting and waving. i wish they would allow neon billboards on the field that says THROW HERE. but alas no.......
this is going to be the year, cause it's 06!
NYSB, LET'S GO ALL OUT (i figured that was quite... bu4 ji1 li4)
NYSB, LET'S GIVE IT OUR ALL, AND GO BACK FOR MORE, THEN CAN GET THE GOLD LOR! (lousy attempt to make it rhyme)
NANYANG WIN.WIN.WIN
